The NL-2000i activity intensity range is automatically set at level 3-8. The lower and upper threshold of the intensity level can be set anywhere from 2-8. Level 2 is considered light intensity, levels 3-6 moderate intensity and 7+ vigorous intensity. Any activity performed at an intensity between and including the set thresholds adds steps to active steps and adds time to active minutes.
Note: When you replace the battery or when you press the RESET button for more than 2 seconds, Keyloc(k) defaults to Unloc(k), Memory1 defaults to 7 days, Memory2 defaults to Loop, Level L(ow) defaults to 3 and Level H(igh) defaults to 8.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
-
How to wear the NL-2000i: Simply attach the security strap to a belt loop or pocket and slide the device in pocket or waistband.
-
Auto off and on (Sleep Mode): If the NL-2000i detects no movement for 30 seconds the LCD will shut off, but the device will continue to measure and record data. Once the device detects movement the display will turn on.
-
Auto messages: Morning greeting is “HELLO Go for GOAL!!” To remove morning greeting press MODE once. Target Steps and Target Active Minutes achievement message is “GOAL Good Job!” Press MODE twice for each goal achieved to advance to Real-time.
-
Distance: For the purpose of calculating distance, stride length does not need to be programmed into the NL-2000i. The NL-2000i uses user data to approximate stride length.
-
Battery Icon: When the battery is low a battery icon will appear on the lower part of the display.
-
Protect device from excessive sweat and water: Sweat is highly corrosive. So, to avoid exposing the device to too much sweat or water, slide the device into the small plastic ziplock bag included with your order and then use the device in the usual manner.
NL-2000i-1: How do I reset my NL-2000i to zero?
Remember that the NL-2000i accelerometer resets automatically at
midnight, so daily resets are unnecessary. To reset the NL-2000i press
the recessed RESET button located on the back of the device.
NL-2000i-2: My NL-2000i accelerometer doesn't have a cover to protect the keys/buttons. Should I be concerned about accidental resets?
No, as pressing the keys when the device is in real time mode will not
reset the device, i.e., will not clear your steps, minutes or calorie
data.
NL-2000i-3: Why is my NL-2000i accelerometer’s display blank.
The most likely cause is a dead battery. The NL-2000i uses a CR-2032
battery. Please refer to our NL-2000i User’s Guide for battery
installation instructions.
If a new battery does not solve the problem, you may have a broken LCD
(liquid crystal diode). In which case you’ll need to purchase a new
unit.
NL-2000i-4: How do I replace the battery in my NL-2000i accelerometer?
Please refer to the NL-2000i User’s Guide for battery installation instructions. It uses a CR-2032 battery.
NL-2000i-5: My NL-2000i accelerometer seems to lose steps during the day.
The clock may not be set or it may be set incorrectly. Press and hold
the SET key for 5 seconds to enter the set mode. Use the < / >
keys to set the correct hour, noting that you may need to continue until
you get to the proper AM or PM. Press the SET key again and use the
< / > buttons to set the minutes. When finished, press the SET key
7 times to exit the setting mode.
NL-2000i-6: I lost the battery compartment cover for my NL-2000i accelerometer.
If you lost your battery compartment cover for your NL-2000i accelerometer, one can be purchased at here.
NL-2000i-7: I got my NL-2000i accelerometer wet.
None of our pedometers or accelerometers are waterproof or
water-resistant. Water can damage your device permanently, but
sometimes one can survive an accidental drowning or trip through the
washing machine. First, remove the battery cover. Remove and properly
dispose of the battery. Leave the cover off and let your step counter’s
innards dry completely. Don’t use a hairdryer as excessive heat may
damage the electronics. After the inside is dry install a new battery.
If the display shows numbers, you were lucky this time! If not, you’ll
need to purchase a new step counter, as water damage is not covered by
the warranty.
NL-2000i-8: How do I set my stride length? The NL-2000i uses a default stride length that is based on your height. Therefore you will not need to set stride length. NL-2000i-9: My accelerometer doesn't appear to be counting my steps properly. What should I do?
Test
your accelerometer’s accuracy with the 20 Steps Test (within 5% of
actual is considered acceptable). Please note you can test the device
with as many steps as you would like--20, 50, 100, 500, etc.
1. Take note of the number of steps on the device.
2. Walk 20 steps.
3. Check the number of steps it registered.
4. If the total isn't 19 to 21 steps more, retest. Test the device at least three times.
If after testing your accelerometer three times, it does not
count properly, review our return (if you've had your device for fewer
than 30 days) or warranty (if you've had your device for more than 30
days but less than 1 year) policy by clicking the word "Return" in the
bottom navigation bar. Note that our Warranty Policy and Return Policy are two different
policies.
